Draaiboeksoek
Voorgestelde riglyne vir draaiboekkompetisie:
M-Net is op soek na ’n splinternuwe speelfilm-draaiboek. Daar is geen voorskrif of voorkeur ten opsigte van genre nie. Stuur vir ons ’n oorspronklike Afrikaanse storie, in die korrekte draaiboek-formaat, met die oog daarop om R50 000 te wen en moontlik jóú film op die Silwerskerm te sien skitter.
Reëls en riglyne
- Die kompetisie is oop vir alle skrywers ouer as 18 jaar.
- Slegs volledige Afrikaanse draaiboeke sal aanvaar word.
- Slegs een inskrywing per draaiboekskrywer mag ingestuur word.
- Draaiboeke moet nuut en 100% oorspronklik wees, en nie inbraak maak op enige regte (insluitend intellektuele regte) van enige derde party. Plagiaat is ’n baie ernstige oortreding. Enige draaiboekontwikkeling is onderhewig aan die kanaal se goedkeuring deur ’n sogenaamde “Skrywerskamer”-proses.
- Die beste draaiboekskrywer sal ’n eenmalige prysgeld van R50 000 vir die wen-inskrywing ontvang, onderhewig aan ’n ooreenkoms aangegeen rakende betalings en verdere ontwikkeling van die draaiboek, tussen M-Net en die skrywer.
- Keuring word op ‘n streng anonieme basis gedoen. Die skrywer se naam en kontakbesonderhede moet op die inskrywingsvorm ingevul word. Slegs die titel moet op die draaiboek verskyn ten einde anonieme keuring te verseker.
- Draaiboeke moet geskryf word in 12 pt Arial en 1.5-spasiëring in Final Draft, Celtx, Trelby of Fade In, maar omgeskakel en gelewer word in ‘n PDF dokument. Elke bladsy moet genommer wees met die titel van die draaiboek duidelik sigbaar. Draaiboeke moet ongeveer 90 bladsye lank wees.

Suggested guidelines for screenplay competition:
M-Net is looking for a brand new feature film script. No prescribed or preferred genre is required. Send us an authentic story in Afrikaans, in the correct script-format and stand a chance to win R50 000,00 and the possibility of your film to be screened in all its glory on the Silwerskerm.
Rules and guidelines
- The competition is open to all writers over the age of 18.
- Only complete scripts in Afrikaans will be accepted.
- One entry only per scriptwriter.
- Entries must be submitted through the kyknet.co.za submissions portal.
- Scripts need to be new and 100% original, and not infringe any rights (including intellectual property rights) of any third party. Plagiarism is a very serious offence. Any script development is subject to the channel’s approval by way of the so-called “writer’s room” – process.
- The best scriptwriter will receive a once-off prize money amount of R50 000,00 for its winning entry, provided an agreement setting out the terms of payment and further development is concluded between M-Net and the writer.
- Selection of works are handled strictly anonymously. The writers name and contact details need to appear on the entry form. Only the title of the script must appear on the script itself in order to assure anonymous selection of works.
- Scripts need to be formatted in 12 point Arial with1.5 line spacing and must be written in Final Draft, Celtx, Trelby or Fade In, but converted to and submitted as a pdf document. Each page needs to be numbered, with the title of the script clearly visible. Scripts need to be approximately 90 pages in total.
